Management of Product Development and Manufacturing Processes

Teaching aims

The students get a solid comprehension of quality management system and its application to CAE. They get the comprehension of designing and introducing a quality management system in an organization, internal information and communication issues. They grasp customer relations and legal issues. They get a comprehension of quality requirements for numerical analysis applications and grasp the responsibilities to avoid errors related to procedures and physical assumptions. The participants get the ability to apply diagnosis procedures and tools. They get the comprehension of necessity of quality assurance for processes. They are able to organize quality assurance and quality management for complex processes and improve their interdisciplinary thinking and the awareness of legal issues. They are able to explain technical issues to external parties.

The students acquire a solid comprehension of processes in modern development and manufacturing processes. They are able to execute CAE methods within development and manufacturing processes effectively and target-oriented. They are able to steer and lead development processes. They get a comprehension of modern methods like product data management, knowledge management and their application. The participants improve their corporate organisation knowledge and research and development skills. They acquire management skills like managerial responsibility, networked thinking, organization and leadership of teams. The students improve their general management and leadership skills.
