Teaching aims
The students demonstrate their ability to handle a scientific topic and to competently present and discuss it. They are able to use modern media for visualization and presentation. They are able to coherently present the results of their Master Thesis as a whole and to discuss and defend them during a colloquium in a scientific context.
Content
- Application of theoretical, numerical or experimental methods within the field of Applied Mechanics
- Information management including literature survey and processing of results for presentation
- Making a summary of a research project, namely the Master Thesis
- Visualization of results
- Presentation of the attained results of the Master Thesis
- Scientific discussion during a colloquium
