Fachhochschule Ingolstadt - University of Applied Sciences
Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences is a new and dynamic Bavarian university for technology, computer sciences and business administration. A practical orientation, an international outlook and a well-rounded student life are characteristics of its study programs.
Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1994. Its future-oriented management is dedicated to the mission statement which sets the highest standards of research and instruction as fundamental goals. The university campus was completed in 1999. An attractive building with modern facilities offers a comfortable environment which encourages success.
With around 2,300 students, there is an open and friendly atmosphere at the university. Classes are small and students receive individual attention. The close interaction between professors, instructors and students creates a pleasant contrast to studying at a larger university.
Several scholarship programs supported by companies such as Media-Saturn, Siemens and Temic provide gifted students with financial assistance during their studies. These students deepen their practical experience by working at these organizations. Usually, such scholarship programs continue until students complete their Bachelor degree.
Furthermore, the university offers several combined programs of study which incorporate an academic degree with a vocational training program. In addition to working toward their university degree, students complete their apprentice examinations in their field after four or six semesters (companies such as Audi, BMW and E.ON). The diverse practical experience which is an integral part of our curriculum provides our graduates the optimal qualifications to begin their careers.
Besides instruction, the university is active in applied research and technology transfer within the Institute of Applied Research. Its modern laboratories and expertise allow an array of opportunities to cooperate with companies.
In continuing education, the university offers master courses of study concurrent with ongoing employment (Master of Engineering, MBA) and many courses and seminars.
