Program Characteristics

Module studies, certificate and master programs offer occupation-enhancing, career-integrated educational advancement opportunities in the field of simulation. In doing so, CADFEM esocaet cooperates with different universities that offer appropriate study programs and have special qualities.

Simulation Based Engineering Sciences

Scientific challenges cannot be solved today without complex computer simulations, which have become a part of daily life. Therefore the course offerings from CADFEM esocaet foster the skills of simulation specialists.

Career-Integrated Study Programs

Practical training has become a trademark of German industry. Companies benefit from career-integrated coursework, as experienced staff can be retained and they contribute continually to corporate success with their new knowledge.

Students with Professional Experience

The minimum pre-requisites for the course offerings are a completed bachelor’s degree plus at least one year of professional experience.

Generally, students with professional experience bring a better understanding of the subject matter.

Practice-Oriented Curriculum

The curricula contain modules that are important for the practice, but which do not neglect theory. Thus companies are strongly encouraged to get involved with their employees' studies, for example, as part of their master's thesis.

Instruction from CAE Experts

One factor that differentiates our degree programs from others is our selected lecturers. They come from a wide variety of colleges and universities, as well as from industry, and they lead instruction during the residential phases.

Flexible for Individual Schedules

Even students not wishing to finish a master's degree are able to complete individual modules and earn a university certificate. The combination of parts of different programs is possible and those wishing to take courses over a longer period may also do so.

Intensive Learning in Small Groups

The residential phases provide space for networking and exchange with colleagues. Additionally, the small group size of approximately 15 participants ensures communication between teachers and students. This also provides the opportunity for questions from the field.

Successful since 2005

The first career-integrated master’s program in Applied Computational Mechanics was offered in 2005 with support from the EU, and it continues to be successfully carried out every year since then. Graduate evaluations of the program have been consistently positive.

International University Network

CADFEM esocaet is currently planning for further studies with different universities and focuses. The idea for the future is a network of universities. Students should have the ability to freely select and combine recognized modules within the network.

Multi-cultural and International

Engineers from around the world take part in our educational advancement opportunities. In the future, participants will be able to study individual modules at universities within the international network. Professors are invited to give lectures at partner universities too.

Degrees and Certificates

With esocaet, you can also complete individual study modules. This allows you to link current research with real questions from your professional experience. You can earn a university certificate (with the required grades and ECTS credits). Each completed module can also be credited toward a subsequent master’s program.

Human Medicine (SBES)

A Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) imparts knowledge on an academic level, as part of the study program for graduates who do not require a master’s degree (such as those who may already have a degree). Learning outcomes will be demonstrated through examinations, because of the estimated shorter length of study, which is about six months.

The master's degree, as a recognized academic degree, provides the possibility to combine your own professional experience with scientific methods and in-depth technical knowledge. For a master's degree, you should plan a period of study of two years, but you can also decide your individual schedule. Following the completion of your master’s degree, you may be able to begin a doctoral degree, depending on the university.

Focuses

Structural mechanics includes the calculation of deformations, forces and internal stress in solids, as well as specific applications in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, and aerospace engineering. The focus is on the application of the finite element method.

The focus of this study is the properties of flowing fluids (liquids and gasses). Content ranges from physical and mathematical descriptions to numerical solutions (CFD). Areas of application are, among others, the automotive industry, ship and mechanical engineering, and aeronautics.

This focus is on the highly interdisciplinary interplay between technology and medicine, to promote communication between engineers and doctors. Fields of application are, among others, oral-facial surgery, surgical intervention in the cardiovascular system, or even the development of ergonomic workstations.
